It is day two of my return to work journey. I am back working at the water department. It is funny how I left here to go to another city and ended up being laid off, only to return. I am grateful. The environment here is more of my speed. The older you get, the less dumb stuff you tolerate. At this point, I truly understand having an occupation that is not your own creation is just another form of slavery. However, I will not be miserable in this modern-day slavery. Things have to make sense.
The world is changing. Employers know that they are running on thin ice. They realize they have to become more accommodating to keep employees. Things should have always been this way. My husband brought this to my attention. His workplace had a meeting about the favorable changes they would be making.
Now, every day I live proves to me that things are always working out for you and your highest good. While you are going through the changes in life, you may not see it this way. When you get through them, you begin to understand that life has been on your side the whole time. You also begin to realize many of the tough times came as a result of the choices you have made.
You need to know that your decision-making will not always be precise and perfect. This is where learning comes into play. Life is good if you choose to see it that way. The more you learn and understand yourself, the more you will make decisions and move in alignment that support who you are. Then, life will become pleasant.
